David Tinnon
Fine oil reproductions

Each painting I have listed or displayed in the gallery is inspired by a famous masterpiece. Like the masters I have given great attention and care to the subtle mixing, blending and application techniques required to produce a fascinating miniature oil painting.

I personally complete each painting using no tracings, no mechanical projections, no photographic or lithographic imaging of any kind. Each painting is individually hand-crafted using multiple applications of "wet-into-wet" and "wet-on dry" color. The resulting complex surface textures and color patterns replicate the richness of the masterpieces that inspired these miniature oils. This technique also insures that no two paintings will ever be identical.

I am confident that the harmony of colors and the resulting illusion of light and depth achieved in these oils will delight everyone who enjoys the works of Monet, Pissarro, Constabe, Church and other world-renowned painters of the 18th and 19th centurys --- however the size of these miniature paintings gives them a unique and intriquing quality all there own.

Inquiries regarding commission works are welcome. (Miniature oil landscapes can be created from your own photographs.)

All paintings are numbered, dated and signed by the artist to establish chronology and authenticity an important detail to collectors.
